A Sophos Case Study
W.C. Bradley Company, a diversified consumer-products and real-estate business based in Columbus, GA, needed to reduce operating and IT support costs while improving malware protection across Windows, Macintosh and Linux systems. Lacking centralized visibility, infections were only discovered when users called and their previous antivirus also caused server issues, so W.C. Bradley evaluated and selected Sophos—deploying Sophos Anti‑Virus with assistance from Sophos Professional Services.
Sophos implemented Sophos Anti‑Virus network-wide, using Sophos Professional Services to optimize performance and Sophos Enterprise Console for centralized deployment and management; the pilot uncovered threats on 20% of machines and the solution is now protecting more than 500 PCs and servers. The deployment gave W.C. Bradley centralized controls, blocked spyware/adware and unwanted applications, minimized server impact, and dramatically reduced virus-cleaning helpdesk calls—delivering measurable time and cost savings and prompting the company to plan renewal of Sophos protection.
