Under Armour needed a complete, easy-to-manage endpoint security solution and tighter data control after its previous product proved hard to manage and allowed unauthorized applications. The Baltimore-based retailer, with 2,100 users worldwide, selected Sophos — deploying Sophos Endpoint Security and Control alongside SafeGuard Easy full-disk encryption — to address malware, spyware and application control gaps.

Sophos deployed smoothly (using the Sophos Competitive Removal Tool and the Enterprise Console with Active Directory sync), enabling Under Armour to process all 2,100 users in about a month. The Sophos solution delivered comprehensive threat and data protection, automatic updates as frequently as every 10 minutes, a marked reduction in adware/spyware “phone home” attempts, faster invisible scans and freed IT from routine maintenance—plus responsive Sophos support throughout the rollout.
