Case Study: One Housing Group achieves secure remote access, streamlined email and network management with Sophos (UTM and RED)

A Sophos Case Study

Preview of the One Housing Group Case Study

Sophos UTM and Remote Ethernet Device (RED) solutions have improved network access, email set-up and control, wireless efficiency and VPN for One Housing Group, saving them time and money

One Housing Group, a London and South East housing, development and care provider with 1,400 users across 116 offices, needed reliable, secure access for desk-based and mobile staff and better protection against malware and spam. They had previously used Sophos antivirus and email/web filtering and selected Sophos solutions — notably Sophos UTM and Sophos RED — to solve slow on-the-move access, costly on-site VPN configuration, limited offsite connectivity and inadequate spam control.

Sophos deployed Sophos UTM for centralized wireless and firewall management and Sophos RED for remote site access, delivering plug-and-play installation and centralized configuration that cut travel and engineer costs, freeing six engineers to focus on proactive work. The Sophos rollout improved spam filtering for ~300,000 emails/month (removing the large volume of spam that would otherwise double), improved remote connectivity, was about 15% cheaper than competitors, and was backed by upgraded Sophos Premium Support — saving time and money while boosting productivity.
