Sophos Helps Fast-Growing Dental Network Unify, Simplify, and Centralize Security

D4C Dental Brands, the largest pediatric dental and orthodontic network in the U.S. with about 2,000 employees and practitioners across 150 locations, needed to consolidate and centralize security, protect patient data (PHI), prevent advanced malware and ransomware, simplify compliance and reporting, and improve user security awareness. To address this, D4C chose Sophos and its suite — including Sophos Central, Intercept X Advanced (for endpoints and servers), Sophos Central Device Encryption, Sophos Mobile, and Sophos Phish Threat.

Sophos deployed a single-pane-of-glass Sophos Central platform with Intercept X Advanced, device encryption, mobile controls, and Phish Threat training, enabling quick, centralized management. The solution blocked real-world ransomware (including a CryptoLocker infection brought in by a new practice) and protected corporate servers, produced phishing-test results below industry norms, streamlined compliance reporting for monthly management reviews, protected ~2,000 users across 150 locations, and avoided the need to add IT headcount — delivering faster deployment and lower total cost of ownership for D4C.
