Superintendencia de Electricidad, the Dominican Republic’s regulatory body for the electric sub-sector with more than 400 users at headquarters and 200 users across 42 remote offices, needed to reduce ransomware-driven downtime, increase threat visibility, and simplify security management. After finding its legacy antivirus unable to detect advanced threats and lacking 360-degree visibility, the organization selected Sophos and its suite of solutions to address these gaps.

Sophos implemented a unified environment—Sophos Central Endpoint with Sophos Intercept X (120 licenses) and Intercept X for Server, five Sophos XG Firewalls, 50 Sophos RED devices and 10 Sophos Access Points—managed through the cloud-based Sophos Central console.
