Softcat chooses Sophos to keep systems secure and recommends Sophos to customers

Softcat PLC, a UK-based IT solutions and services provider and longstanding partner and customer of Sophos, needed a simple, reliable way to protect its estate as it grew and formed a new Internal Security team. Evaluating options in 2016, Softcat sought a single-vendor endpoint and server protection solution with minimal footprint on systems and team resources, and chose Sophos products including Sophos Central and Intercept X (Endpoint Protection and Server).

Sophos implemented Sophos Central and Intercept X across Softcat’s estate—protecting about 250 servers across eight offices and supporting some 300 users—migrating easily from on‑prem management via Active Directory into the cloud console with little configuration or extra training. Sophos integrated with Softcat’s SIEM, reduced alert noise, supported ISO 27001 and GDPR needs, and lowered the need for multiple vendors or specialist staff, enabling Softcat to maintain strong security while continuing to recommend Sophos to its customers.
