A Sophos Case Study
Rehoboth Christian Ministries, a faith-based organization serving adults and children with developmental disabilities across five regional locations in Alberta (about 600 employees), needed stronger, centralized protection for sensitive donor and client data after losing its previous IT provider. The organization was previously running a Cisco firewall and Symantec endpoints and lacked visibility into how data entered or left the network, so it worked with Internal IT to evaluate and adopt Sophos solutions — notably Sophos UTM, Sophos Endpoint Protection and Sophos Cloud.
Sophos delivered an integrated firewall-to-endpoint-to-cloud solution that Internal IT deployed across Rehoboth’s five sites, providing centralized consoles, robust reporting and policy enforcement (including web controls and off-network protection). The result was immediate, measurable improvement in security posture and operational control: Rehoboth now has real-time visibility across 600 employees, can block or restrict risky traffic (e.g., streaming during critical updates), enforce data-leak policies, and confidently assure leadership that client information is proactively protected thanks to Sophos.
