A Sophos Case Study
Ruchi Soya Industries Limited, a leading Indian FMCG and edible oil manufacturer with more than 20 plants, 126 depots and thousands of employees and distributors, faced poor real-time visibility across its distributed network, ineffective bandwidth control during peak concurrent use, and insecure, hard-to-manage Wi‑Fi and guest authentication. To address these challenges the company evaluated vendors and selected Sophos, deploying Sophos XG Firewall models and Sophos Access Points to replace its legacy solution.
Sophos implemented a phased rollout of Sophos XG Firewalls and wireless access points—now more than 20 UTM/firewalls and 40 access points—bringing centralized dashboards, anti‑spam/antivirus at the gateway, app and web filtering, bandwidth rules, load balancing and two‑factor Wi‑Fi authentication. As a result, Ruchi Soya reports it “has not suffered a single cybersecurity attack” since adoption, achieved about 99.9% uptime for users, reclaimed IT manhours, improved productivity through granular controls, and simplified scalable Wi‑Fi deployment with Sophos.
