Lafayette Catholic School System - Customer Case Study

Lafayette Catholic School System turned to Sophos as it prepared to roll out a 1:1 MacBook initiative across its four campuses. Facing a migration to an all‑Mac environment for roughly 420 students (grades 7–12) and a need to unify networks while keeping Internet access appropriate for classroom learning, LCSS needed a security solution that was powerful, easy for a small IT team to manage, and non‑disruptive to instruction.

Sophos deployed a consolidated solution—two Sophos UTM 430 devices in active/passive mode alongside Sophos Cloud, Sophos Cloud Server Protection and Sophos Cloud Endpoint Protection Advanced—replacing prior AV and providing centralized, redundant security. The deployment delivered flexible policy controls (tighter filtering on campus, relaxed off‑campus), consistent malware protection, and scalability to support up to 1,500 devices, giving LCSS the reliability and peace of mind to expand its e‑learning program and teach digital citizenship.
