Case Study: NHS Informatics Merseyside achieves streamlined endpoint management and cost savings with Sophos

A Sophos Case Study

Preview of the NHS Informatics Merseyside Case Study

Informatics Merseyside implement Sophos to protect NHS Trust systems and reduce time spent managing endpoints

NHS Informatics Merseyside, an NHS shared service supporting more than 20,000 users across roughly 250 Merseyside sites, needed to replace its expiring endpoint security contract and consolidate disparate products (including Microsoft Forefront and McAfee) without degrading network performance or staff productivity. They chose Sophos—deploying Sophos Endpoint Security and Data Protection, Sophos Safeguard Encryption and Sophos Email Security—so they could standardize security across Trusts and control costs.

Sophos, working with partner Foursys, used the Sophos Endpoint Central Console and an existing‑client removal tool to roll out protection quietly to thousands of desktops and laptops, remove redundant products, and centralize management. The Sophos deployment shortened time spent managing endpoints, reduced support calls, sped up and lowered the cost of consolidation across Trusts, and delivered measurable efficiency gains and cost savings for NHS Informatics Merseyside.
