How partnership with Sophos has given ABtec Computer Solutions the edge in the education sector

ABtec Computer Solutions, a Wigan-based specialist in educational ICT serving more than 150 schools and SMBs, faced a competitive education market and the growing need to safely support bring-your-own-device (BYOD) programmes and web filtering for pupils and staff. To meet these challenges they partnered with Sophos, deploying Sophos UTM along with Sophos Endpoint and Mobile Control to deliver integrated network and endpoint security.

Sophos provided the UTM appliance, endpoint/mobile protection, dedicated account management, sales support and technical training, enabling ABtec to roll out secure web-filtering and BYOD solutions backed by centralized management. As a result of the Sophos partnership ABtec became a Sophos Silver Solution Partner (gaining extra margin and resources), strengthened its sales cycle protection, expanded its managed-service offering, and confidently supports and sells UTM and endpoint solutions across its 150+ school customers.
