Gift and card retailer dramatically enhances wireless performance, coverage, and security with sophos

Norman’s Hallmark, a family-owned gift and card retailer with 54 stores and more than 600 employees, was expanding its headquarters and warehouse but struggled with spotty in‑building wireless, slow connections, and guest-network issues that hurt productivity and security. To address coverage, performance, simplified management, and protection against ransomware and lateral attacks, they engaged Sophos (via partner Net2 Technology Group) and evaluated Sophos solutions including Sophos Wireless Access Points and Sophos XG Firewall.

Following a Sophos site survey, Net2 deployed nine Sophos Wireless Access Points and a Sophos XG Firewall managed through the Sophos control center; the wireless network now delivers consistent 30 Mbps across the facility with excellent coverage, roaming, bandwidth, and reliable wireless printing. Sophos’ integrated security (deep learning, Intercept X capabilities and automatic device isolation) simplified central management, strengthened threat prevention, and eliminated prior connectivity and guest‑access problems.
