Cutting-Edge Firewall Delivers Extended Network Security to Centre Régional d’investissement de Casablanca

The Casablanca-Settat Regional Investment Center, a government body in Casablanca serving about 500 users, needed to secure growing volumes of sensitive data, comply with Morocco’s data protection law n° 09-08, and protect branch offices despite a small IT team. After evaluating vendors, the organization chose Sophos and its Sophos XG Firewall solution to extend advanced perimeter protection, enable remote management, and close substantial security gaps at distributed sites.

Sophos, working with partner Innovatech Engineering SARL, deployed six XG firewall appliances (XG 210 and XG 310 models) and the centralized XG management console to deliver intrusion prevention, web protection, deep HTTPS inspection and user-based access controls across headquarters and remote sites. The deployment eliminated unprotected branch gaps, brought the center into compliance with law n° 09-08, significantly reduced telecommunications/MPLS costs, simplified security management for the 10‑person IT team, and delivered clear ROI—leading the customer to now consider additional Sophos endpoint protection.
