Columbia Valley Community Health - Customer Case Study

Columbia Valley Community Health (CVCH), which serves thousands of patients across five locations in North Central Washington, faced the challenge of protecting confidential patient data on the iPhones and iPads its clinicians use daily. To secure mobile devices and meet strict legal requirements such as HIPAA, CVCH turned to Sophos and specifically deployed Sophos Mobile Control (SMC), alongside existing Sophos Endpoint Protection and Sophos SafeGuard Encryption.

Sophos integrated SMC with CVCH’s Active Directory and rolled it out to 30 executives and doctors, giving administrators the ability to track, manage and wipe devices remotely; when two iPhones were lost, CVCH promptly wiped them and prevented any data loss. The Sophos solution has simplified deployment and management, allows CVCH to extend protection to more devices, and helped the organization maintain patient data security and regulatory compliance.
