ALMIS International, an Edinburgh-based provider of treasury software with 24 users and 30 servers, brought IT back in-house after two decades of outsourcing and discovered the existing "vanilla" security stack could not be scaled or enhanced for corporate growth. In 2019 the company shortlisted Sophos and selected a synchronized security platform — Endpoint Intercept Advance with EDR, Server Intercept Advance with EDR and Sophos XG Firewalls — to protect both on‑premise and cloud environments.

Sophos, working with partner CDW, completed a full migration in under a fortnight and delivered a single-pane security solution with improved reporting and low management overhead. ALMIS reports the Sophos platform is easy to manage, provides robust protection across its estate, and has saved the company around £3,500 over three years compared with its previous outsourced IT provider.
