ACE Ingenieurs & Adviesbureau - Customer Case Study

ACE Ingenieurs & Adviesbureau, a Netherlands‑based industrial design and engineering firm with more than 200 employees across five offices, needed to replace an end‑of‑life firewall with a next‑generation solution that provided web filtering, integrated antivirus, laptop encryption and centralized management for a small IT team. After evaluation, ACE chose Sophos and its suite including Sophos UTM, Sophos RED, Sophos Endpoint Protection and Sophos Safeguard Enterprise.

Sophos deployed two Sophos UTM 320 HA devices at headquarters, a UTM 120 at another site, Sophos RED appliances to create secure VPN links to remote offices, and rolled endpoint and Safeguard Enterprise encryption into the UTM environment. The Sophos solution enabled centralized management from Eindhoven (eliminating travel to remote sites), immediate global updates instead of multi‑day vendor changes, daily/monthly health and threat reporting, stronger laptop data protection and improved accountability—helping ACE resolve issues without data loss or business interruption.
