Greene, Tweed & Co., a global engineering and manufacturing company serving aerospace, petrochemical, power, oilfield, semiconductor and solar markets, needed to scale growth through new high-value products but lacked consistent metrics and an enterprise-wide process to evaluate idea feasibility and commercial viability. To address this, Greene, Tweed & Co. partnered with Sopheon and implemented the Stage-Gate® methodology together with Sopheon’s Accolade® innovation governance system.
Using Sopheon’s Accolade and Stage-Gate, Greene, Tweed & Co. automated and standardized idea cataloging and vetting, resulting in only one-third as many ideas advancing to team review while nearly two-thirds of those progressing projects are commercialized. Sopheon’s solution also reduced investment decision time from 2–3 months to 4–6 weeks through built-in process models and “smart” templates, centralizing data, cutting administrative burden, and improving early-stage screening rigor.
