Robeco, an international asset manager headquartered in Rotterdam, needed a way to give its customer service team more freedom to self-select shifts while still meeting strict service-level and coverage requirements. Robeco partnered with Soon and adopted Soon’s scheduling software—particularly an “open events” sign-in feature—to balance individual flexibility with operational needs.
Soon implemented configurable open events that allow team members to sign up for short, intra-day shifts with optional minimum and maximum limits per role, creating a self-scheduling framework that clearly communicates coverage. The Soon solution increased schedule satisfaction and autonomy for Robeco staff, reduced managerial scheduling overhead, and ensured service-level goals were met by preventing understaffing and oversubscription.
