Scape rolls out student living app across 12 buildings in 7 cities with Sonin

Scape, a provider of student accommodation, wanted to enhance the digital experience for its residents by creating an app to foster a safe and inclusive community. The challenge was to provide a single platform for students, many of whom were living away from home for the first time, to access 24/7 services, wellbeing support, and event information. Scape approached the vendor, Sonin, with an existing app that needed to be developed into a more flexible and comprehensive solution.

Sonin worked with Scape to develop the app, integrating new features including concierge services for maintenance and package tracking, event notifications, wellbeing advice, and IoT door lock integration for room and communal area access. The result was an app that made students feel safe, supported, and engaged with their new community. The solution was successfully rolled out across 12 buildings in 7 cities and is used by students every day.
