A SonicWall Case Study
Universidad Autonoma de la Ciudad de Mexico needed to optimize network security performance, provide VPN access for remote users, and gain better visibility into network-related problems. After evaluating other vendors, the university deployed SonicWall NSa firewalls; Network Administrator Miguel Angel Lopez Linares reported greater visibility, app control and the ability to filter traffic to and from the Internet.
SonicWall implemented NSa firewalls with Deep Packet Inspection of Encrypted Traffic (DPI-SSL) and an integrated VPN to enable remote access, app control and traffic filtering. The SonicWall deployment improved process efficiency, overall system uptime, performance and data protection, is easy to manage and met or exceeded expectations — the university also saw the number of blocked attacks rise by 76–100%.
