Stonyhurst College Entrusts Sonicwall to Safeguard its Network

Stonyhurst College, a UK independent school with about 300 staff and 750 students, needed a complete refresh of its aging IT infrastructure and better online reporting and monitoring. The college engaged SonicWall and implemented the SonicWall SuperMassive 9200 and Comprehensive Gateway Security Suite (CGSS), alongside FastVue reporting, to address capacity, security and visibility gaps.

SonicWall’s SuperMassive appliance and CGSS, with FastVue reporting, delivered a stable, high‑availability firewall solution that simplified configuration, improved WAN performance and provided round‑the‑clock user monitoring. As a result, Stonyhurst now spends far less time managing the system, achieved deeper data protection and improved reporting — an Independent School Inspectorate praised the content filtering and compliance with KCSIE — demonstrating clear operational and security gains from SonicWall’s implementation.
