SonicWall secures WIFI for 1000 plus guests with wireless solution

Hastings Hotel Group, a family-run operator of seven luxury hotels in Northern Ireland, needed reliable, high-performance and secure Wi‑Fi for more than 1,000 guests so visitors could stream, shop and work online around the clock. To meet those digital demands the group turned to long-term vendor SonicWall, using SonicWall NSA Series firewalls, SonicPoint Wireless Access Points and the SonicWall Advanced Gateway Security Subscription.

SonicWall — working with partner nEOS Systems — deployed NSa 2650 and NSa 5650 Next Generation Firewalls in High Availability, plus Capture Sandbox with RTDMI and SonicPoint access points to inspect all web traffic, including SSL. The solution blocked infection and intrusion attempts (even malware hidden in encrypted SSL), slashed large-file download times from several minutes to under a minute, delivered VPN performance equal to on‑site users and helped prevent costly data breaches, securing Wi‑Fi for 1,000+ guests.
