A SonicWall Case Study
Roseville Joint Union High School District, which serves more than 11,000 students and 1,000 staff, faced critical firewall failures when pandemic-driven remote learning shifted traffic patterns and overwhelmed its legacy appliance. A long-time SonicWall customer, the district needed a higher-capacity, secure solution and selected the SonicWall NSsp 15700 (deployed in High Availability mode) to meet the new demands.
SonicWall implemented the NSsp 15700 along with Capture ATP and NAC integration, enabling RJUHSD to handle vastly increased connections, consolidate content filtering and application control, and reduce downtime for end users. The upgrade restored reliable performance for heavy video-conferencing traffic, improved support for esports (notably Nintendo Switch), and delivered faster threat alerts—demonstrable outcomes SonicWall helped the district achieve.
