Solution Provider to the Philippines Government Enhances Security with SonicWall’s Next-Gen Firewall

LARES Inc., the primary solutions provider for the Philippines’ Land Registration Authority, needed a secure, manageable way to connect on‑premises infrastructure to AWS for public‑facing web applications and to strengthen its security posture against advanced threats while scaling support. LARES selected SonicWall and its NSa Series next‑generation firewalls along with SonicWall Network Security Manager (NSM) to meet those requirements.

SonicWall deployed NSa 4700 and NSa 3600 firewalls in a failover/redundancy configuration, stood up NSM in the cloud, routed logs to the SIEM, and positioned the NGFWs as IPS/IDS between remote networks and the data center. As a result, LARES reported improved security posture for production and non‑production environments, higher network bandwidth utilization efficiency, and a secured on‑premises‑to‑cloud connection that enhanced the SOC’s detection and response capabilities.
