School District Strengthens Content Filtering with Affordable Security Service

Calistoga Joint Unified School District needed to strengthen its content-filtering without breaking a tight budget. Working with Napa Valley Networks, the district turned to SonicWall, deploying SonicWall Security-as-a-Service along with the SonicWall SuperMassive Series next‑generation firewall and SonicWall Content Filtering Service to gain greater flexibility and granularity in access controls.

SonicWall’s SECaaS implementation gave the district customizable content filtering and application control by user group and role, reduced upfront costs with a monthly billing model, and qualified much of the expense for federal E-rate discounts. The SonicWall solution improved protection against service interruptions and provided the control and affordability the district required.
