Vechtdal College, a Dutch secondary education institution with about 4,200 students and 400 staff across three locations, was struggling with rapidly growing Wi‑Fi device counts and bandwidth demand (peaking around 750 Mbps) that pushed its existing SonicWall E‑Class NSA cluster to capacity. To protect student records, examination results and reports and to ensure fast, secure access to internet and cloud applications, the school turned to vendor SonicWall for an upgraded solution.

SonicWall implemented a SuperMassive 9200 Next Generation Firewall in high‑availability with the Comprehensive Gateway Security Suite and SonicWall GMS for centralized logging and management. The deployment delivered multi‑gigabit deep packet inspection (up to 3.5 Gbps), real‑time application control, enhanced bandwidth management and compliance-ready reporting; the upgrade proceeded smoothly with only about 10 minutes of downtime, resulting in reliable, secure network access and confirmed protection of sensitive student data.
