Case Study: Ozinga cuts total cost of ownership and simplifies firewall management with SonicWall

A SonicWall Case Study

Manufacturer cuts TCO and eases remote management with SonicWall

Ozinga, the largest family-owned ready-mix concrete manufacturer in North America with 26 distributed locations, was struggling with a complex Check Point firewall that required a dedicated specialist, long downtime and high management overhead. To resolve this, Ozinga replaced its legacy appliances with SonicWall NSA Series and TZ Series firewalls (with SonicWall GMS for management).

SonicWall’s appliances simplified configuration and remote management, reduced total cost of ownership (the SonicWall replacement cost was roughly equivalent to continuing with Check Point over three years), and removed configuration “gotchas” that had slowed IT operations. As a result, SonicWall delivered easier deployment and maintenance, lower costs and increased productivity, allowing Ozinga’s IT team to focus on business initiatives rather than firewall troubleshooting.
