Leading South African Insurance Company Chooses Sonicwall for Remote Accessibility

Badger International, a large insurer with more than 1,200 employees across South Africa and Australia that manages policies for over 180,000 clients, needed to rapidly shift to remote work after South Africa’s lockdown on March 25, 2020. The company required a quick, secure solution that supported multi-factor authentication, any-device access and compliance with PCI DSS, POPI and FSB requirements — so Badger turned to partner Galix and SonicWall’s Secure Mobile Access (SMA) and Central Management Server (CMS).

Galix implemented SonicWall’s SMA virtual secure access gateway (with CMS) to provide any-application, any-device remote access; the solution was rolled out to 800 users in days and Badger was operational within the first week of April 2020. SonicWall’s deployment ensured business continuity, preserved customer service during lockdown, met strict compliance needs, and delivered a user-friendly, low-bandwidth experience that allowed Badger to continue supporting its clients.
