Kimbolton School Takes Network Security to The Next Level

Kimbolton School, a UK boarding school, needed a high-performance, flexible network security solution to enable learning while safeguarding students’ online activity around the clock and to comply with new Government online safety guidance. The school chose SonicWall, deploying SonicWall Next Generation Firewall technology including the SuperMassive series and the Comprehensive Gateway Security Suite.

SonicWall implemented NGFW appliances and centralized management/reporting to provide the throughput and visibility required to handle increased internet use and detailed user activity reporting. The result is a stable, reliable network with continuous, secure student access, full content-filtering and deep-packet inspection, and demonstrable compliance with government guidance — the appliances are currently running at only half of their SSL‑DPI capacity, giving headroom for future growth.
