The Hastings Hotel Group, a family-run operator of seven luxury hotels in Northern Ireland (including the new 300‑room Grand Central), needed to upgrade and scale guest Wi‑Fi and network security to meet rising digital demands for streaming, remote work and online services for 1,000+ guests. Having used SonicWall products for over a decade, the group sought faster, more reliable wireless performance and stronger protection against encrypted threats and ransomware as it brought the new hotel online.

SonicWall, delivered via partner EOS Systems, deployed NSa 2650 and NSa 5650 Next‑Generation Firewalls in High Availability, 216 ACi access points and SonicWall Advanced Gateway Security with Capture Sandbox and RTDMI. The implementation inspects encrypted traffic, blocks malware and intrusion attempts, provides zero‑downtime resilience, slashed large‑file download times from several minutes to under a minute, gave VPN users campus‑level performance, and helped prevent costly data breaches—securing Wi‑Fi and network services across the Hastings estate.
