Goffstown School District Ensures Cipa Compliance Across Distributed School Network

Goffstown School District, a New Hampshire public district serving over 3,500 students across seven buildings linked by a 10 Gb/s dark‑fiber WAN, needed to enforce CIPA content‑filtering policies and simplify cumbersome, building‑level firewall maintenance and change documentation. To meet those requirements they turned to SonicWall and its firewall solutions.

SonicWall deployed a SuperMassive 9200 at the network perimeter running the Comprehensive Gateway Security Suite (with CIPA‑compliant content filtering) and SonicWall Analyzer for real‑time web reporting, while retaining NSA 3600/2400 appliances at each site for fiber‑link failover. The consolidation to a single primary SonicWall appliance reduced complexity, enabled an in‑house DMZ and controlled remote access, delivered CIPA compliance and live traffic visibility, and reliably supports nearly 4,000 combined users across the district.
