Depaul, a nonprofit working across the U.K. and Ireland to help people at risk, needed to improve network security and visibility at 20 locations while delivering reliable, secure WiFi to staff and residents. Working with technology firm EMIT, the charity chose SonicWall solutions—deploying TZ500 and TZ300 next‑generation firewalls, SonicPoint access points and SonicWall Global Management System—to centrally manage and protect traffic and provide guest WiFi zones.

EMIT implemented a SonicWall-based firewall-as-a-service and wireless solution that delivered centralized visibility across all 20 sites, blocked 75,000 threats in six months, and reduced IT security costs by 50% in the first year. The SonicWall deployment also simplified management and rollout for IT administrators and enabled people at risk to access online courses and job opportunities via secure WiFi.
