College Blocks Hidden Threats on Wired and Wireless Networks

Mary Immaculate College needed to protect sensitive student and staff data and meet EU GDPR requirements while locking network access to authorized users and detecting threats hidden in growing volumes of encrypted traffic. To address this, the college turned to SonicWall, deploying a SonicWall NSA Series firewall alongside SonicWall SonicWave wireless access points.

SonicWall’s solution provided the throughput to perform deep packet inspection of encrypted traffic without degrading performance, and SonicWave delivered wireless throughput comparable to the wired network with consistently strong signal across the one-and-a-half-acre campus. As a result, SonicWall helped the college achieve high-performance, robust security — blocking hidden threats while maintaining seamless connectivity for wired and wireless users.
