CCMB Protects Critical Data with SonicWall’s Next-Gen Firewalls

The Centre for Cellular & Molecular Biology (CCMB), a Hyderabad-based research organization, needed to protect large volumes of sensitive research data and ensure safe internet access after relocating to a larger campus. To prevent intrusions and advanced persistent threats while securing access for employees, students and academics, CCMB selected SonicWall and its Next‑Gen firewall solutions (NSa series appliances, Capture Advanced Threat Protection and Content Filtering Service).

SonicWall deployed NSa series firewalls in High Availability at the central site, additional NSa units at key branches, Capture ATP, CFS and on‑premises analytics to secure traffic, filter content and provide visibility. Post-deployment CCMB reported zero security lapses, intrusion attempts or ransomware incidents, improved network performance and higher internet availability that reduced IT support calls and outage-related costs — demonstrating clear, measurable improvements from the SonicWall solution.
