Cavagna Group, a medium‑enterprise industrial manufacturer of gas control equipment, needed to consolidate security and networking features into a single solution and optimize network security performance across its distributed operations. After evaluating other vendors, the company selected SonicWall and deployed the SonicWall NSa 2700 firewall to meet these requirements.

SonicWall implemented the NSa 2700 across the Cavagna Group’s distributed environment—using its high port density (1 GbE and 10 GbE), high‑availability/clustering hardware and Network Security Manager (NSM) to push a unified security policy template to other firewalls. The deployment leveraged SonicWall features such as Capture ATP, Gateway AV, IPS and Application Control; Cavagna reports the NSa 2700 is “complete and very simple to configure,” with measurable benefits including faster packet inspection and filtering management and quicker policy deployment.
