A SonicWall Case Study
Ansfelden, a municipality of 18,000 residents near Linz with around 250 staff across 25 locations, needed a centrally managed, partner-supported security solution to modernize its IT infrastructure. Ansfelden has worked with SonicWall since 2006 and sought an updated security stack—including SonicWall NSa and TZ series appliances, SonicWave access points, a virtual SMA 500v and a virtual Email Security Appliance—to meet evolving threats and simplify management.
SonicWall, together with partner Lenz IT, deployed a mix of NSa and TZ firewalls, 10 SonicWave access points, a virtual SMA 500v and virtual email security to provide unified, centrally managed protection. The implementation improved defense against known and unknown threats, enabled centralized administration, connected 20+ locations via VPN, and created the foundation for a VoIP/unified communications rollout across the municipality.
