A SonicWall Case Study
The Borough of Kutztown, a small municipal government in Berks County, Pennsylvania, needed a secure, easy-to-manage way to provide remote and BYOD access for staff—needs that intensified during the pandemic. To meet those challenges the borough deployed SonicWall Secure Mobile Access (SMA) with the SonicWall NetExtender client to deliver encrypted VPN access, multifactor authentication, role-based access control, advanced endpoint control and integration with SonicWall Capture ATP.
SonicWall implemented SMA as a unified secure access gateway with granular policies, context-aware device authorization, application-level VPN and single sign-on, enabling borough-issued laptops and smartphones to connect securely from home. SonicWall SMA rapidly secured the expanded at-home workforce, simplified access control with single-pane-of-glass visibility into remote traffic, improved end-user productivity, helped meet regulatory compliance, and was backed by strong SonicWall support.
