Alexander Bürkle Chooses Sonicwall For IT Security For Electrical Wholesale And Technology Services

Alexander Bürkle, a 122‑year‑old German electrical wholesaler and technology service provider with about 1,000 employees and 27 locations, needed a reliable, secure connection between branches and the Freiburg headquarters and stronger network segmentation to protect complex logistics and IT systems. To address this, Alexander Bürkle turned to SonicWall, replacing a competitor firewall with SonicWall appliances including an NSa 6700 at HQ and TZ500/TZ570 devices in branch offices.

SonicWall deployed an NSa 6700 active/passive cluster at headquarters and multiple TZ500/TZ570 firewalls across branches, using features such as DPI‑SSL, Gateway Anti‑Virus, Geo‑IP and Botnet filtering, Content Filtering Services and IPS, and upgrading to SonicOS 7.0. The solution secured connectivity across all 27 locations, enabled multiple smaller network segments for improved threat containment, delivered high availability and performance, and provided granular access controls for partners and affiliates.
