Case Study: mobile.de achieves a consistent, secure CI/CD pipeline with Sonatype Nexus Repository

A Sonatype Case Study

Preview of the Mobile.de Case Study

Automated consistency across the CI/CD pipeline

mobile.de, a subsidiary of eBay and Germany’s leading online vehicle marketplace, faced fragmented, manually managed infrastructure with no centralized storage for binaries or a way to track open source component usage. The DevOps, Release and Build team needed a secure, integratable repository that would bring consistency across multiple product and operations teams and fit into an automated CI/CD pipeline.

They implemented Sonatype Nexus Repository as a local private registry integrated with tools like SonarQube, Selenium Grid, OpenStack, Jenkins and Ansible, and used Nexus 3 for Docker registry and multiple artifact formats. The result is a low‑maintenance, secure CI/CD environment used by ~200 engineers, with a single Nexus instance handling large volumes of data, faster delivery across teams, and positive vendor support experiences.
