Sonar helps Skyscanner find Clean Code success across 10 teams

Skyscanner, a global travel marketplace serving more than 100 million people monthly across 30 languages, needed to scale development tools and maintain consistent code quality as teams expanded across time zones after the pandemic. To standardize practices and ensure developers understood and followed quality standards, Skyscanner turned to SonarSource and its SonarCloud SaaS (alongside SonarLint) after their homegrown tool proved hard to scale.

SonarSource implemented SonarCloud with a clear change-management rollout across 10 teams supporting Skyscanner’s iOS and Android codebase, integrated SonarLint in developers’ IDEs, and linked Sonar’s API with internal tools. The result was faster, lower-maintenance integration, a decrease in total number of issues, increased precision in continuous integration, better developer productivity and collaboration, and clearer release and quality metrics for management.
