ConfigCat, a cloud-based solution for feature flagging, masters code excellence with SonarCloud

ConfigCat, a cloud-based feature-flagging provider, needed to maintain high code quality and security across a growing, multi-language codebase while operating a small, high-performance engineering team and meeting ISO 27001 requirements. To minimize maintenance overhead and fit into developers’ workflows, ConfigCat chose SonarSource’s SaaS solution, SonarCloud, for maintenance-free, cross-language static analysis and IDE integration.

SonarSource implemented SonarCloud with real-time IDE feedback, comprehensive language support, continuous updates, and configurable Quality Gates; its automated analysis exposed an initial “sea of red” that ConfigCat addressed systematically. The result: all new code now meets SonarCloud quality gates with no new bugs reaching production, technical debt is proactively managed, and the team has achieved substantial time savings by replacing labor-intensive reviews with automated vetting.
