Valley Community Services Board is a publicly funded non-profit serving Staunton, Waynesboro, and Augusta and Highland counties with behavioral health, substance use, and developmental services. The organization struggled with slow, manual budgeting and reporting—budget cycles took more than three months and staff spent excessive time producing daily, weekly, and monthly reports—so they sought a user-friendly, centralized solution to shorten cycles and reduce personnel effort.
They implemented the Solver Suite (formerly BI360) with a Solver Data Warehouse and Excel-based templates, automating reporting, scheduling, and budget entry through a web portal. The change cut budget preparation from over three months to about two weeks, freed roughly 1.25 FTEs through streamlined reporting and budgeting, improved data consolidation and custom reporting, and set the stage for future dashboards and faster decision-making.
