A Solver Case Study
The Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation (EGPAF) is a global nonprofit working to prevent pediatric HIV and eliminate pediatric AIDS across programs in 19 countries. Facing fragmented data from multiple systems (QuickBooks in country offices and Microsoft Dynamics GP at headquarters), EGPAF struggled to get real-time, transaction-level reporting and relied on accounting and IT to investigate discrepancies, slowing decision-making and limiting visibility for budget and award managers.
EGPAF implemented the Solver Data Warehouse and Planning modules to centralize financial, contract, procurement and payroll data and provide an easy self-service reporting interface. The solution empowered finance and program staff to run real-time reports and scenarios, reduced the burden on IT and accounting, improved award and budget tracking, and set the foundation for expanded data integration and analytics (including potential Power BI use) to support faster, informed decisions.
