Dutch Farms, a Chicago-based distributor of refrigerated and frozen foods, needed to replace an aging Unix-based ERP system that could no longer support its growth, EDI requirements, or need for better visibility into operations. Working with Solution Systems, the company selected Microsoft Dynamics NAV to modernize accounting, inventory, purchasing, sales, and customer management.

Solution Systems helped Dutch Farms implement Microsoft Dynamics NAV with add-ons for EDI, e-commerce, and reporting, plus custom food-distribution features for market pricing and catch weights. The new system gave Dutch Farms better control over margins and supply chain visibility, boosted individual productivity by about 12 percent, and supported 25 percent revenue growth without adding back-office staff.
