Time Machine® Saves Time and Resources during Telstra’s SAP Rollout

Deloitte Consulting Outsourcing needed to certify Payroll and HR functionality for a Telstra SAP R/3 upgrade by simulating multiple future dates, a process that normally required resetting the system hardware clock, shutting down and rebooting servers, restarting applications, and restoring the environment. That approach demanded experienced Unix and SAP Basis administrators and took at least two days per simulation, prompting Deloitte to seek a better solution and adopt Solution-Soft’s Time Machine.

Solution-Soft’s Time Machine provided a virtual clock so Deloitte could change the time and date seen by the SAP application without reboots or application restarts, affecting only designated users.
