IMAGO ASP Systems, an application services provider with data centers across North America, Europe and Australia, faced a multi–time zone problem in its server-based computing environment: applications received only the server's system time, producing incorrect timestamps for remote users and breaking scheduling and database synchronization. IMAGO considered costly options such as deploying a server in each of eight time zones or building custom time-zone management software before engaging Solution-Soft and its Time Machine product.

Solution-Soft’s Time Machine was deployed to provide consistent local time to applications regardless of the server location, giving email, scheduling software and server processes accurate timestamps and keeping distributed databases in sync without code changes. The implementation eliminated the need for a farm of regional servers and avoided lengthy custom development, enabling IMAGO to roll out services nationwide and ensuring its applications can reliably manage customers’ business operations.
