Nordea Bank, the largest financial services group in the Nordic and Baltic region, faced a critical time-synchronization issue between its Midas Windows-based banking platform and an IBM mainframe (TIC TOC) that left some transactions effectively 10–12 months out of sync and required repeated, costly workarounds. To solve this, Nordea evaluated and chose Solution-Soft’s Time Machine to address the mismatch and enable accurate functional testing.

Solution-Soft implemented Time Machine to simulate the mainframe’s past date within Nordea’s Windows test environments so Midas could run on the same date while other environments remained unaffected. The solution enabled reliable end-to-end testing of mission-critical banking processes, avoided repeated ad hoc fixes, and exceeded expectations—Time Machine performed as expected and became a key component of Nordea’s time-shift testing.
