iMcKesson Saves on Hardware and Support Costs with Time Machine®

iMcKesson, a business unit of McKesson HBOC delivering web-based clinical and medical management solutions to thousands of clinicians, faced a multiple time zone problem when moving to a centrally hosted, Citrix-based server farm. Solution-Soft’s Time Machine product was selected to address the issue without requiring separate servers or custom time-zone software for each region.

Solution-Soft implemented Time Machine to provide a virtual user clock tied to each user’s local time while keeping a single centralized server environment, eliminating the need to deploy servers across five time zones. The change reduced hardware and support costs, avoided at least one additional FTE for management and support, and enabled iMcKesson to serve its large clinician and patient base more efficiently.
