Forward Date Testing with Time Machine® Ensures On-Time Deployment of Governmental Change Program Management System

HP was deploying a Change Program Management System (CPMS) that required testing application code against future dates across Windows web and application servers and a COBOL mainframe. Because Active Directory/Kerberos would lock out servers if system clocks were changed, HP needed a way to synchronize simulated test dates across platforms; they engaged Solution-Soft and its Time Machine product to address this challenge.

Solution-Soft implemented Time Machine to create virtual clocks for the service accounts and synchronize simulated future dates across the web, application and mainframe environments without altering server system clocks. This allowed HP to run multiple concurrent future-date tests with minimal admin intervention, avoid AD lockouts, achieve on-time CPMS deployment and realize reduced testing overhead and cost savings.
