Bodet, a leading French manufacturer of clocks and temperature panels and long-time HP3000 customer, faced a major testing and operational challenge around Y2K and ongoing date-sensitive processing. They needed a way to run and test applications for past or future dates without hard-coding dates in programs or resetting the system clock across users. Bodet selected Solution-Soft’s Time Machine to address this need.

Solution-Soft’s Time Machine provides per-session virtual dates (up to 200 on a single system), enabling Bodet to run applications as-of specific dates for Y2K testing, reproduce and fix production errors, generate payroll reflecting month-end dates, and rerun historical discounting scenarios. By avoiding code changes and system clock resets, Solution-Soft’s product sped testing, improved reproducibility of bugs, and increased operational efficiency in Bodet’s normal environment.
